Homework Oct 28th - Nov 1st

5th grade 
Language Arts-  Students are working in class on learning how to write structured paragraphs using the Jane Schaffer model. We are using graphic organizers in class and essay writing in class. Social Studies- Test has been postponed until Thursday, so we have proper to review.  They will take this test in Mrs. Boyd's class.  The test will not be on Wednesday in order to balance their homework load. 

6th grade -

Religion - Unit 2 test Wednesday 

Language Arts- We are learning how to write structured essays using the Jane Schaffer model. On Wednesday the will
write a structure essay using examples from the text demonstrating how Jackie Robinson was a man of courage. They should spend time preparing for this assignment at home.

Homework for the week of October 7th - October 11th

5th grade Language Arts-
         Test Tuesday- Student's have a study guide and may use notes for the test. They also may ask to take a book home.
 
There is no vocabulary test this Thursday.

There will be a reading comprehension test on October 16th for the short Story Double Dutch.


Thursday October 6th- " I remember Poem." Due Monday October 14th.

 6th Religion- Take Home Assignment- Family Crest- This may done on paper or through a "pic collage" on the ipad. Due Wednesday.

5th Grade- Winter Count Project
Objective: The student will tell their personal story through pictures, similar to the First Americans.
Assignment:  Using the calendar assignment, choose at least four chronological events and tell this story. The student will tell the story through pictographs. If you need an example, refer to page 14 in the text book.  Attach the calendar to the assignment.
 Your Winter Count will be graded on the following criteria.
  • ·        Does the Winter Count tell a story?
  • ·        Creativity
  • ·        Detail in the attached calendar.
